ROCS VITA Program

The ROCS Vita Program is an annual program that provides free tax preparation assistance for households that meet income guidelines.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Get Your Intake Packet. Call ahead or schedule an appointment to pick up your tax intake packet. If you arrive without calling ahead, we’ll help you schedule a follow-up appointment to review your packet and needed paperwork.

2. Complete Your Paperwork. Fill out the intake forms and gather all required tax documents before your appointment or drop-off. Please do not include any original tax documents with your packet, only provide copies. If you need assistance copying your tax documents, please notify your local ROCS Outreach Provider ahead of time.

3. Tax Preparation & Review. Taxes will be completed remotely. A certified VITA tax preparer will complete and review your return.

4. Sign & File Your Return. You will schedule a second appointment to sign your completed tax return and receive a copy. Once signed, your return will be filed with the IRS within 24–48 hours.

Intake packets will be available for pickup February 10 - March 23.
