south Dakota community action partnership
The Rural Office of Community Services is in partnership with 3 other Community Action Agencies in South Dakota. Community Action Agencies (CAAs) are non-profit organizations established under the Economic Opportunity Act to fight America's War on Poverty.
ROCS partners with ICAP, GrowSD and WSDCAA to help people help themselves in achieving self-sufficiency.
Community Action changes people's lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live. We care about the entire community, and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.
Dakota dream savings fund
South Dakota CAP Agencies manage an Individual Development Account (IDA) program where qualified families can open matched savings accounts to purchase a new home.
Participant savings are matched 3:1 to use for purchasing a home. Education and case management are integral parts of this program. For more information, contact your local Community Action Agency.
